I just found out that the sphere bowl will be making it’s debut in Ty Pennington’s publication. I mean, who doesn’t love Ty Pennington?! It will hit stands September 23rd - be sure to pick up a copy and check it out!

Stone Arch Festival

We just got back from doing the Stone Arch Festival. I’ve only done a handful of art shows, but this one has been highly successful for us! (In fact, we got a blue ribbon!) Here are a few of the unique pieces we exhibited and sold at the show. Minneapolis, you are one gorgeous city!

I was raised in Stratford, WI - population: 1523. My parents were (and still are) crazy workaholics who owned several small business including a repair shop, school bus company, gas station, car wash, and the list goes on. Needless to say, my brother and I were forced into slave labor at a very young age and worked in the family business. Note to self: it is NOT fun pumping gas and checking oil in -40 degree weather, I don't care WHAT your parents have told you. My background is graphic design, but since 2006, my mom's "hobby" of rummaging through industrial dumpsters and scrapyards rubbed off, and I have since become completely obsessed with reuse and creating objects from discarded metal. My business: One Eighty. Why the name? It really relates to the process of the transformed steel and materials I find and use. And, on a more personal note, my life took a complete "180", but that's a whole other story! I love being in the shop, I love rummaging through piles of steel and I love the fact that I can build this business on the premise of reuse.
